Birth Service The Birth service starts with an introductory visit which lasts one hour and is free of charge. At the meeting the mothers needs and requirements are discussed. The meeting also allows the mother and doula to see if they are comfortable with each other.
Fee £150 to include:-
two antenatal visits to discuss hopes and wishes of the mother and partner
discussion and exploration of birth choices
partners role in labour
relaxation and breathing techniques
how hormones effect labour,what you can do to help
learning ways of coping in labour
confidence building
dealing with past experiences (mothers or babies)
attendence at birth, providing physical and emotional support
companionship and reassurance throughout labour and delivery
telephone and email support throughout
one postnatal visit within 3 days after the birth
Birth and Postnatal Service(if booked together) The Birth and Postnatal service is, as stated above, with the additions listed below.
Fee £150 (birth) plus £10 per hour (postnatal) to include:-
12 hours of postnatal support spread over the six weeks after the birth
helping with the care of the newborn baby (or babies)
help and support with the chosen feeding method
companionship and reassurance
giving mother time off for a rest
demonstrations on practical baby care (winding, bathing, swaddling etc
care of siblings
practical help (shopping, light housework etc)
companionship and reassurance
email support over the six week period
Any additional hours can be booked by mutual arrangement at a fee of £10 per hour. Travel Expenses: depending on location (to be discussed)
Postnatal Service The Postnatal service is as stated above (without the birth service). Fee £10 per hour (plus travel expenses depending on location)
Pregnancy Relaxation Service The pregnancy relaxation service is for those people who feel they would benefit from the support of a doula and wish to prepare for the birth of their baby to achieve the birth that they want, without the doula being present at the actual birth.
Fee £150 to include:-

discussion of expectations and birth plan
partners role in labour
relaxation and breathing techniques
how hormones effect labour and what you can do to help
learning ways of coping in labour
confidence building
dealing with past experiences (mothers or babies)
Other Services Overnight support. Fee £100 (10pm - 7am) to help with chosen feeding method and give support through exhausting times. Enabling mother to rest or to give encouragement when it is most needed.
Earlydays babysitting. Fee £15 per hour. (7pm - 12 midnight) giving new parents a chance to have some time for themselves in the knowledge that baby is safe in expert and caring hands.
